Landscape Design & Garden Makeovers
When it comes to designing your garden or outdoor space, we don’t use a template or a one-size-fits-all approach – every aspect of your landscape design is unique to your lifestyle, your character and your needs.
Designing Your Dream Garden Makeover
If you want a dream garden design of your own, the first step is to give us a call!
Once we establish the type of services you are looking for, we organise an onsite consultation to discuss items such as:
- your ideas, needs and own design preferences, including a wish list of things you want to include;
- hardscaping such as paving, limestone blockwork, paths, & more;
- softscaping and horticulture to suit your garden and the local environment;
- budget and timeline estimates; and
- any questions you may have about the process.
Why is Landscape Design Important?
In Australia, there are few things better than being able to enjoy the outdoors in your own backyard.
Undertaking complete landscape design work from start to finish on a residential or commercial property is a favourite of ours, as it means we can overhaul your outdoor space with a garden or backyard design that is customised to your needs.
At Looking Good Landscaping, our philosophy is to undertake each project with friendly, old-fashioned service that exceeds your expectations. We want you to enjoy your Looking Good garden or backyard for many years to come.
Professional vs DIY Jobs
A trap that some eager DIY’ers fall into is thinking that landscape design is a simple weekend project that they can conquer themselves. Then when it comes to implementing their DIY plan, they end up over budget, over time and in need of some professional help!
Professional landscape designers, such as Looking Good Landscaping, need a number of skills to undertake your backyard design, such as:
- creativity;
- lateral and spatial thinking;
- good communication;
- design and drawing skills;
- good horticultural knowledge; and
- an eye for detail.
Your landscape designer is also responsible for managing contractors, working to a timeline, sticking to your budget and mitigating issues as they arise.
Types of Landscaping
When we refer to landscaping, there are two main types: hardscaping and softscaping.

From Consultation to the Project
After we have met with you for an onsite consultation, we will provide you with a quote for the landscape design, detailing the scope of works and costs associated.
If you accept our quote for the project and pay your deposit, we can provide you with 2D drawings of the space (costs associated if requested) and begin working on the finer details of the project, such as plant species and intricate layouts.
At Looking Good Landscaping, we take all your suggestions on board and are happy to make changes until you are satisfied with the project. If you’re happy to leave the design and project up to us, we can work with that too.
Once you are happy and we have finalised all the details, we will book the job in and advise you of any important dates for the project.
